The metro is the simple answer

Take the Red Line (Linha Vermelha) to Oriente — the transport hub of Parque das Nações — then walk about ten minutes through the district to the aquarium on the riverfront. Several city bus routes also stop nearby; the Oceanário lists the current line numbers on its own site.

Three stops from the airport

Lisbon Airport is on the same Red Line as Oriente, three stops away, which makes the Oceanário an easy first or last call on a trip when you have a few spare hours — the Oceanário also lists left luggage and lockers among its facilities.

Driving and parking

Parque das Nações is flat and easy to drive into, with several car parks nearby, including the Oceanário's own car park and a large one at Oriente station. The district sits beside the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in the European Union.

The walk from Oriente

The route from the station to the entrance is flat and signposted, passing through the open plazas of Parque das Nações towards the river.
